This Oakville backyard was in desperate need of a make-over. With tight access and a deep and triangular lot, this was a challenge for the design, as all the structures and side lines were angular. We designed circular patio areas to combat the angular lines and the result is stunning!
Planting New Perspective
The backyard was completely overgrown with far too many trees, however the municipality is very restrictive on tree removal so a careful tree audit had to be undertaken and the design needed to incorporate a number of existing trees as well as replacement trees to meet the removal standards.
Using the existing trees as inspiration we designed a soft planting palette to balance out the large hardscape areas.
Welcome home
The front yard, formerly completely overgrown with evergreen shrubs, now boasts a beautiful entryway and the conversation patio which our clients requested and added landscape lighting to bring the property to life in the evening hours.
Turning Heads
The backyard was encased in poorly designed and poorly installed concrete, which all had to be removed and disposed of through our tight access, and then new base materials brought back in for the new design.
