Our clients’ farm property is in a beautiful setting, but wanted to transform it into a cohesive space for their large extended family to gather.
With a large wish list of amenities, such as a spa, pool, patio spaces for more than 20 people, multiple covered areas, and for it all to ‘look like it had always been there’. We had our work cut out, but the end result is undeniable.
Gathering Spaces
An additional patio space is covered with a large timber framed structure, with a grill island tucked off to the side and protected from the wind with a timber screen and plantings.
This wide-open wind swept back yard was transformed into an oasis of lush plantings, splashing water, gathering spaces for extended family and a space for every time of day.
Natural Setting
We carefully designed the pool and spa area to benefit from the side slope of the rear walkout, and to incorporate a stunning water feature into a huge pool with adjacent in-ground spa. Large patio spaces, softened by informal planting areas complete this space
Hosting Dream
Utilizing the existing area under the large deck, we integrated a patio space which flows out into the yard and is anchored by a beautiful Japanese maple with adjacent gardens helping to delineate lounge and dining patio spaces.
