Our clients, residing in a charming century home in the heart of downtown, had a backyard that fell short of its potential. Their old deck was tired, and the lack of aesthetic and functional details made it uninviting, especially with the sun and bugs driving them away.

A Stunning 3-Season Room

We replaced the old, tired deck with a breathtaking 3-season room that perfectly complements the vintage charm of the century home. The new design features elegant beadboard paneling and rustic timber details, harmonizing with the classic style of the front porch. Custom black-framed screens were installed to offer a bug-free environment, transforming the space into a comfortable retreat for enjoying evenings outdoors. This thoughtful design not only revitalizes the backyard but also enhances the overall aesthetic of the home.

To further enhance the backyard, we introduced a cedar pergola over a side paver patio, creating a versatile space ideal for barbecues and social gatherings. This addition is complemented by a privacy screen that shields against views from neighbouring stairways, ensuring a more intimate setting. Raised stone planters were strategically placed to add visual interest and a touch of nature, while a low-maintenance planting scheme was chosen to reduce upkeep. The combination of cedar and stone elements creates a cohesive and inviting outdoor area that is both functional and beautiful.

Luxurious Finishes

The 3-season room was completed with a range of luxurious finishes that elevate the space. A tongue and groove ceiling adds a classic touch, while pot lights and a ceiling fan provide both illumination and comfort. Built-in banquette seating offers a stylish and practical solution for relaxation and dining. To enhance the overall ambiance, low-voltage landscape lighting was installed, highlighting key features of the yard and ensuring safety during evening use.
