The client has phased in many projects, culminating in an award winning landscape.
Up grade
First, we tackled the sloped back yard in order to make it more inviting. A large paver patio with oversized flagstone inlays along with a wood burning fire-pit was installed. The patio helped to reclaim the yard on a flat grade. Plantings were also rearranged and organized to blend with the existing natural forest setting.
Frontyard appeal
New pavers and flagstone replaced old concrete and gardens giving a much needed boost to the front yard. To the side, a raised concrete patio and railing was softened with plants and a focal point. In addition, oversized flagstone steps and landing flank a unique pond less water feature and wood structure, to create interest when sitting and enjoying the sunsets. The driveway also received a face lift, replacing cracked concrete with pavers and adding masonry pillars to create a statement entrance.
Escape at home
To finish the project, the client requested a pool that blended with the existing area and sat within the confines of the tree line. Lower sitting areas were introduced with large natural steps to the pool area, finished with a rustic cabana and roof structure. The flagstone coping detail on the pool steps is a favourite of the client, carrying the natural stone inlay theme throughout the property. Lighting systems were upgraded and added to, finishing the space off for enjoyment well into the evening.
